Canticle of the Stone

(110 mins) Two Palestinians, now in their 40s, had barely fallen in love nearly twenty years ago when he was imprisoned for political activity and she ran off to the United States to forget. Now, in the mist of the Intifada, she comes back to Jerusalem to study the meaning of sacrifice in Palestinian society and finds him released from prison. Against a backdrop of daily resistance and repression, they will love each other again, filling the gaps in their histories, their memories, and their passion.
