Yasmine Beydoun

Yasmine is a graduate student at Penn's School of Practice and Social Policy, earning her Master's in Social Work. Originating from Lebanon, Yasmine is interested in intergenerational trauma and mental health in the Middle East. She spent her first year of graduate school working with newly arrived refugees in Philadelphia and will continue to deepen her practice working with vulnerable communities from the Middle East region. Having earned her undergraduate degree from Brown University with a focus on Anthropology, Yasmine is interested in the way that trauma and culture interact in the psyche. 

Yasmine is the 2022 recipient of the Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellowship in the Arabic language.
