Tayeba Batool

PhD Candidate in Anthropology

Tayeba Batool is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania. Her dissertation project looks at the ecological relations, politics, and practices of constructing arboreal landscapes in Pakistani cities. She received a Masters in International Affairs from American University, Washington DC. Prior to her time at Penn, her research and work in Pakistan focused on urban heritage, institutional capacity building, economic participation, and private-public sector collaboration for regional development and connectivity.
