Sotirios Dimitriadis is a historian of the modern Middle East based in Philadelphia. He received his PhD in history from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London and has taught and published on Islamic, Middle Eastern and urban history. He is currently a post-doctoral fellow at the Program of Islamic Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
