Sherif H. Ismail is a doctoral candidate in Comparative Literature and Literary Theory at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Research Fellow with the Penn Program in Environmental Humanities. His research interests include postcolonial theory, ecocriticism, and Arabic literature and culture. His published work appeared in Interventions: International Journal of Postcolonial Studies and Philological Encounters.
