Farah Jan

Lecturer in International Relations

Farah Jan received her Ph.D. in Political Science from Rutgers University-New Brunswick, and M.L. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.

Dr. Jan’s research focuses on interstate rivalries and alliances, nuclear proliferation, and security politics of South Asia and the Middle East. Her dissertation, "Adversarial Peace: The Persistence of Nuclear Rivalries," examined the impact of nuclear weapons on strategic rivalries. Her writing has appeared in a range of scholarly and policy-relevant publications, including, Foreign Policy, National Interest, The Diplomat, Arab News, Asraq Al-Awsat, Foreign Policy Journal and Democracy & Security.
