David Mulder

History of Art PhD student

David is a PhD student specializing in the art and archaeology of the ancient Middle East. His research focuses mainly on southern Mesopotamia from the 3rd to the early 2nd millennium BCE, particularly on the imagery of cylinder seals during the Early Dynastic period. Before coming to Penn, he received a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Wake Forest University with a self-designed major in Ancient Near Eastern Studies and a minor in Arabic.
