Jennifer Dixon

Associate Professor of Political Science, Villanova University

Jennifer M. Dixon is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Villanova University. Her research lies at the intersection of international relations and comparative politics, and focuses on the politics of memory, genocide and mass atrocity, and the diffusion and impact of international human rights norms. She is the author of Dark Pasts: Changing the State’s Story in Turkey and Japan (Cornell University Press, 2018), which is the co-winner of the 2019 Dr. Sona Aronian Book Prize for Excellence in Armenian Studies. She has published articles in Perspectives on Politics, the European Journal of International Relations, South European Society and Politics, the International Journal of Middle East Studies, and the International Journal for Education Law and Policy. She holds a PhD and an MA in political science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an AB in Government from Dartmouth College.
