The Middle East Center of the University of Pennsylvania was honored to host five incredible filmmakers from across the Middle East on March 23, 2021 for the event Five Degrees of Separation: A Dialogue on Middle East Cinema in 2021. Meta Mazaj of Penn's Cinema Studies Department moderated a discussion between Iran Behrouzi, Hisham Bizri, Nadav Lapid, Tolga Ornek, and Sameh Zoabi on the state of cinema in their respective countries and the region at large.
