Ameen Muhammed is a Ph.D. Student at the Department of South Asia Studies. He is interested in the social history and circulation of ideas, memories, and writing practices across the Indian Ocean littoral. He currently focuses on the Muslim writing and literary practices in Early Modern Malabar (Kerala) and South India. He received his master’s degree in Medieval History from the Centre for Historical Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University Delhi in 2021.
