Contemporary Iranian Fiction in Translation: A Panel Discussion

We had Iranian-American author Moniro Ravanipour, with translator Mohammad Ghanoonparvar, Professor Fatemeh Shams, and Dr. Mahyar Entezari offer their thoughts on contemporary Iranian fiction. Ravanipour herself has written several novels, a few screenplays, and many short stories, which have been translated into various languages. Ravanipour was among seventeen activists to face trial in Iran for taking part in anti-Iran propaganda in the 2000 Berlin Conference. It was a robust panel, and we thank everyone who attended for their participation!
