We had the honor of listening to a poetry reading by Faleeha Hassan, followed by a discussion between Hassan and Rawad Wehbe, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department for Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at the University of Pennsylvania. Faleeha Hassan has published more than twenty books, had her poetry translated into over ten languages, and received numerous awards in Iraq and throughout the Middle East for her poetry and short stories. We appreciated her insights and wisdom that evening!
