Liyan Alkawafhah is a Circassian-Jordanian passionate about Middle Eastern politics, with special interest in social change, education reform and resettlement policy. She obtained her bachelor’s degree with distinction in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Calgary, where she was a Daughters for Life scholar.
She hopes to further delve into the politics and challenges of social policy reform in the MENA region through a master’s in Social Policy, which she will be pursuing at Penn’s School of Social Policy and Practice.
